Trip Overview

This journey is Nepal in a nutshell. From the ancient streets of Kathmandu to the misty ridgelines of Daman, through the warm jungles of Chitwan and the lake valleys of Pokhara, this trip blends culture, adventure and scenery in one flowing ride. It’s designed for riders who want to see everything Nepal has to offer, without rushing the magic in between.

Every day feels different. One morning you’re climbing through pine forest to a Himalayan viewpoint, the next you’re spotting rhinos from a canoe in the jungle. Expect a mix of quiet gravel roads, smooth tarmac and plenty of smiles. The ride ends in Pokhara with sunset beers by the lake and a head full of stories you’ll be telling for years.

Itinerary

Welcome to Nepal. Our team will meet you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel in Thamel. Depending on arrival time, there’s time for a short stroll through the narrow lanes, alive with prayer flags, incense and honking scooters. In the evening, we gather for a relaxed welcome dinner and a trip briefing over Nepali food and cold drinks.

Join our signature unauthorised kathmandu tour this morning, its an early morning loop through the meandering back alleys, courtyards and vibrant markets, A side of Kathmandu most people don't get to see. We wing by Monkey temple also to indulge in the morning Buddhist culture. Get the afternoon to relax and prepare for the trip ahead.

We start the day with a fun lift up the Chandragiri Cable Car for a panoramic view of the valley and the snow-capped peaks stretching across the north. From the top, we roll down toward Chitlang, a beautiful farming valley dotted with ancient trade trails and stone cottages. Chitlang is also home to Nepal’s oldest cheese factory and a local winery where we stop for a taste. After lunch, we climb toward Daman, passing through pine forests and hill villages with the air growing fresher with every pedal. Daman greets us with sweeping Himalayan views and one of Nepal’s finest sunsets.

Today is a day of pure descent. We roll down from the cool mountain air into the warm plains, following winding roads through forest and hillside farms. The ride is smooth, with long curves and a constant change in landscape as pine gives way to sal trees and banana groves. Hetauda is a lively trade town, surrounded by green hills and known for its friendly roadside eateries.

We leave the hills behind and ride toward the lowland Terai. The road meanders through farmland, rivers and small villages where ox carts still trundle past. The final approach into Chitwan is flat and easy, and the change in air is instant — warmer, thicker, and filled with birdsong. In the evening we relax at our jungle lodge and listen to the sounds of the forest.

No riding today, but plenty of adventure. We start early with a canoe trip on the Rapti River, spotting crocodiles and birds along the banks. After breakfast, we set off on a jeep safari through Chitwan National Park, home to rhinos, deer, wild boar and, if luck is on our side, the elusive Bengal tiger. The afternoon is free to relax by the river or join a local Tharu cultural performance at sunset.

Accommodation: Jungle Lodge, Chitwan | Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
A scenic drive takes us north toward the hills again. We start riding near the Marsyangdi River and climb steadily to Bandipur, a beautifully preserved Newar town set high on a ridge. Its stone-paved streets, traditional houses and sweeping mountain views make it one of Nepal’s most atmospheric hill towns. Sunset walks and local dinners round off a perfect evening.

Accommodation: Heritage Inn, Bandipur | Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
We roll out of Bandipur on a quiet downhill road that twists through forest and farmland. The terrain is a blend of tarmac and light gravel, with glimpses of village life at every turn. The ride ends at Begnas Lake, a peaceful spot surrounded by hills and reflections. We stay at Rupakot Resort, which overlooks the twin lakes of Begnas and Rupa, and watch the sunset from the terrace with a drink in hand.

We leave Begnas after breakfast and start climbing toward Panchase on a quiet mix of jeep track and gravel road. The ride winds through small villages and forested ridges, with occasional glimpses of the twin lakes below. The air cools as we climb, and by the time we reach Panchase Dhada, the horizon opens into a sweeping view of Dhaulagiri, Annapurna and Machhapuchhre. The feeling up here is pure mountain calm. We stay in a simple local teahouse, where warm smiles, hearty home cooking and the evening light over the peaks make this one of the most memorable stops of the trip.
